HOSTILE FEST returns in 2024 to Norton Music Factory in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday 3 February. Six bands are ready to rock out at this great live music venue.

The Line up:

New Clear VisionHammersChin, Black CatapultThe Wolston Butchers and ChAMBER LANe on the main stage and Miss LC DJ spinning tracks outside on the garden stage. Food and drinks are available for this 18+ event with gates opening at 3:30 pm.

Forging unpredictable grooves, jagged riffs and tasty hooks, Northern Rivers rockers Hammers are Australia’s answer to the lovechild of Every Time I DieHe Is Legend and Alice In Chains. Comprising vocalist Leigh ‘Fish’ Dowling, guitarist and vocalist Lucas Stone, bassist Ricky T and drummer Ryan ‘Ruckus’ Lucas, the trademark Hammers brand gifts a rock’n’roll explosion for the ages, bringing together passion, technicality and an affable tongue-in-cheek swagger.

As 2023 draws to a close and eyes turn to 2024, Hammers continue to grab the musical bull by the horns with a new single and film-clip in the works, and aims to tour the far reaches of regional Australia. Fans can certainly bet this lot will continue kicking goals in and around the heavy scene with their signature beautiful brutality and cheeky flair.

When New Clear Vision returned to our stages last year expectation was high. This was a band whose live show borders on legendary, with a full nuclear wasteland-type visual component offset by ferocious and scathing lyrics delivered with a rap/metal/nu-metal hybrid, unlike anything to come out of the Australian music scene in perhaps forever.

Now, with Daniel (Null ), Brodie (Void) and Zac (Corvus) on board, Bromfield (Nukeleus ) has managed to elevate the legend that is NCV even more, delivering pulsating recent performances that has seen the band playing alongside horror core artist KidKrusher and shows for the Nu Metal Mayhem tour which featured Anders Colsefni (Slipknot) and Wayland Reavis (Mushroomhead). The boys also released their brand new horror driven film clip for recently released track The New Rage on Halloween night, the same week as their performance at Wallapalooza which was headlined by oz greats Cog , 28 days and Butterfingers to name a few.

Chin is a quirky rock/metal four piece band based on the sunshine coast, Queensland Australia. Featuring Matthew Rice – Vocals and lead guitar, Brett Saxon – Bass, Ben Richards – Drums and Daniel Powell on rhythm guitar.

Chin was formed in 1999 by Matthew Rice but went on hiatus in 2008 to focus on other musical projects but reformed in 2015 for several shows around the coast supporting Draw Card and All strings Attached.

in 2022 Chin released their latest album Opinions are like assholes recorded and produced by Dave Harper at Vault recording studios, the album is a musical soundscape with many contributing artists from all around the world. Opinions are like assholes is a satirical look at conspiracy theories, political correctness & cancel culture within the backdrop of the Covid era and is their finest work to date. This release along with their previous two albums Perfect Puzzle and Everything happens for a reason are available on all streaming platforms including Apple music, Spotify and you tube.

The Black Catapult:

The Black Catapult are a tight-knit crew of friends, who has been ripping up stages with their infectious 90’s skate punk vibes since 1994. Hailing from Brisbane, they’ve become a cornerstone of the local music scene, sharing the limelight with both international heavyweights and homegrown talents. With a relentless energy that’s made them favourites everywhere they play, TBC continues to be a driving force in keeping the punk spirit alive.

The Wolston Butchers:

The Wolston Butchers give a nod to the skate punk sounds of the nineties whilst still playing their unique and original blend of punk and hardcore. With a tight yet chaotic, highly energetic and crowd engaging set, you definitely know you’ve been to a Butchers gig.

ChAMBER LANe are a 4 piece Indie Punk outfit from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Known for catchy tunes, energetic live performances, and a dash of Britpop influence. Following the success of their recent single Liana the band has started to see their hard work pay off with rooms full of people singing along across the East Coast of Australia. These self proclaimed misfits are fun, with a mischievous attitude and nostalgic sound. Their songs are highly praised for crafting clever hooks, and generating a mainstream sound, while still harbouring rebellious punk rock larrikinisms.
