Following a fruitful month in London – which included her debut headline show in the UK and resulted in an invite to the Great Escape Festival 2023 as part of its First 50 – Mia Wray has arrived home, inspired as ever, and announced her biggest Australian headline tour yet, playing shows across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Maroochydore, Fremantle, Wollongong and more.
Originally from Noosa, Mia honed her craft playing bars, restaurants and country clubs up the coast, just her and her guitar before heading to Melbourne in her late teens. After capturing the attention of fans and media alike with her debut single, the predominantly acapella ‘Work For Me’ Mia has gone on to become one of Australia’s most highly acclaimed emerging artists. Five singles in, Mia has graced playlist covers, had her singles added to high rotation on triple j, toured alongside the likes of The Rubens and Vance Joy and performed on national TV several times over.
Mia kicks off her Australian tour at Solbar in Maroochydore on Friday 3rd March then onto Black Bear Lodge in Brisbane on 4th March, Friday 10th March at Fremantles Mojo’s and Music in the Park in Joondalup on Saturday 11th March. The Stay Awake Tour then heads back to the east coast to Wollongong’s La La La’s on Thursday 23rd and Sydney’s Lansdowne on Friday 24th March before heading to Victoria for Awaken Festival on Sunday 26th. Finally rounding out the tour with a hometown Melbourne show at Howler on Friday 31st March
