8 Ball Aitken has toured the world for over a decade, performing his unique blend of swampy-blues-rock in twenty countries. His energetic live shows and engaging internet videos have earned him a loyal fanbase. In 2012, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he collaborated with top blues artists for nine years. He even won second place in the 2021 International New Orleans Cigar Box Guitar Festival.

Back in Australia, 8 Ball Aitken released his new album, ‘ICE CREAM MAN 2,’ which hit #1 in the Australian Blues & Roots Charts in June 2023. This 12-song album, mostly completed in Nashville, follows his successful first ‘ICE CREAM MAN’ album. The new album features Grammy-winning drummer Tom Hambridge, saxophone legend Buddy Leach, Sydney soul singer Taya Chani, and 8 Ball’s younger brother Dillion James Aitken on Hammond organ and piano. 8 Ball’s partner, Jessy Lynch, also contributed backup vocals.
