The Event: A jam-packed day filled with free festivities from 10 AM to 2:45 PM, culminating in an exclusive ticketed Twilight Concert featuring the Hoodoo Gurus alongside alternative rock legends Magic Dirt.
The Highlight: At 2:45 PM, Hoodoo Gurus will swap guitars for scissors as they lead the Official Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony, joined by the Sunshine Coast Mayor, political leaders, celebrities, and a glittering lineup of star guests.

“This program is destined to become the benchmark for similar initiatives across the country,” said Nebe. “We’re not just setting the stage for incredible music experiences—we’re shaping a blueprint for inclusive employment, personal growth, and community engagement.”
A GRASSROOTS SUCCESS STORY
From humble beginnings in 2020, Team Musicare has grown from a single participant attending a 3-hour weekly session to an organisation with over 30 staff and 170 weekly participants in Redcliffe, QLD. What’s more remarkable? This entire project is 100% privately funded, with not a single cent from grants, government funding, or stimulus packages.
“It doesn’t get more grassroots than this,” Nebe said. “We started with nothing but a passion for music and a vision for inclusivity. Today, we’re proving that with hard work, community support, and innovation, you can create something extraordinary.”
