Necrostasis Announce New Symphonic Metal Single Soulbound,  Releasing February 13, 2026

Brisbane symphonic metal visionaries Necrostasis proudly announce the release of their new single Soulbound arriving February 13, 2026 on all major streaming platforms.

Drawing on the ancient Egyptian myth of Isis and Osiris, Soulbound tells an emotional story of two lovers separated by death yet inseparably connected beyond the spiritual veil.

Designed for fans of symphonic metal, melodic death metal, and theatrical concept music, Soulbound showcases the band’s dual-vocal dynamic and their evolving blend of classical instrumentation with heavy, contemporary metal elements.

Soulbound takes listeners on a journey through grief, devotion, and transcendence. The track opens with haunting whispers and exasperated screams alongside the sound of a pounding heartbeat, symbolising life’s fragile tether, before expanding into a lush violin and harp introduction that sets the tone for the narrative ahead.

The story begins with the female operatic lead, whose sweeping vocals describe hearing her lover’s voice echoing through the night from the other side. As she declares that their love “defies all that binds,” the music surges and gives way to the male scream vocals, depicting the departed lover’s struggle within the spirit realm. He sings of the soul keeper, the prophet of death who holds his essence captive, yet grants him the ability to transcend the spiritual plane and reach the physical world once more.

The chorus unites both vocalists, clean soprano and raw screams intertwined, as the lovers call to one another across the divide, feeling each breath and touch from beyond the veil. This leads into an electrifying guitar solo, an emotional centerpiece that mirrors the lovers’ yearning.

In the third verse, the female vocals return with dreamlike imagery: a realm where she dances with her lost beloved and hears his whispers echo through her mind. The chorus swells once more before the track plunges into a heavy, atmospheric breakdown. Here, the male scream vocals summon the soul keeper while the female voice mournfully echoes the ancient myth of a soul cut into thirteen pieces, a powerful nod to Osiris’ dismemberment and rebirth.

The final verse brings the operatic female voice back to full intensity as she sings of haunting cries and an eternal love that defies the limits of earthly life. The closing moments reunite both vocalists for one final, cathartic refrain, with the male chanting “Soulbound” as the twin guitars ring out in an emotional crescendo. The track slowly fades back into the whispered cries, harp, violin, and heartbeat that began the journey, completing the cycle of life, death, and eternal connection.

Rosanna Diamond, vocalist says Soulbound is our most emotionally charged, musically dense and narratively ambitious single to date. We wanted to create a song that felt really powerful and mythical. We think this is a truly epic and emotional piece which pays homage to Egyptian Mythology”.

Ecrothi Morgath, scream vocalist and symphonic composer recalls on writing the track that “It was a very complex piece to write which took years to complete from its initial conception. It really all came together when we were recording the final parts of the track in the studio with the band, where all the vocal harmonies, violin parts, guitar solos and drum rhythms were fleshed out and the track just sounded so full. I’m really pleased with how this track sounds and how we all contributed to it.”
