Australia’s Next Generation of Country Music Talent Takes Centre Stage

The stage was set, the competition was fierce, and the future of Australian country music shone brighter than ever as the winners of Country Stars 2026 were officially announced following an unforgettable weekend of live performances, passion, and outstanding talent.

Held at the Maleny Showgrounds, Country Stars once again delivered on its mission of discovering and developing emerging country music artists from across Australia and beyond. After two days of competition featuring incredible performers, industry judges, and enthusiastic audiences, the winners were crowned before a packed crowd.

Founded by Australian country music veteran Col Finley, Country Stars has rapidly become one of the country’s most exciting launch pads for emerging artists, providing real-world industry opportunities and career-changing prizes.

“This event was created to give artists a genuine pathway into the music industry,” said Finley. “The level of talent this year was simply incredible. Every finalist brought something special to the stage, and the future of country music is in very good hands.”

Finalists competed in acoustic heats before taking to the main stage, backed by the Country All-Stars Band, showcasing their artistry, stage presence, and performance skills to a panel of respected industry judges.

The winners will now receive an extensive prize package designed to help launch their careers, including professional recording, music distribution, media support, photography, video production opportunities, festival performances, and industry exposure.

Country Stars 2026 also featured guest performances from some of the region’s finest artists, creating a celebration of community, creativity, and country music excellence.

As another successful chapter closes, plans are already underway for Country Stars 2027, continuing the search for the next great voice in Australian country music.
