KATIE NOONAN BRINGS HER MUSIC HOME WITH SPECIAL SHOWS IN POMONA AND NOOSA

Sunshine Coast songbird and five-time ARIA Award-winning artist Katie Noonan is coming home, bringing her landmark 30th studio album, Alone but all one, to two special shows on Gubbi Gubbi Country – at The Majestic Theatre in Pomona on 26 September and The J in Noosa on 24 October – accompanied by the River Suite String Quartet.

Released earlier this year, the #1 ARIA Australian Artist physical album Alone but all one is an intimate and powerful exploration of love in all its stages, and marks Katie’s first songwriting collaboration with her friend, acclaimed writer Trent Dalton.

The album is both delicate and deeply affecting, featuring Katie’s exquisite vocals and piano accompanied only by the River Suite String Quartet. Recorded live in Katie’s lounge room in the hills behind Nambour, the album captures an extraordinary sense of intimacy and immediacy.

“In the spirit of shared experience, half the album I wrote solo and the other half I wrote with dear Trent’s words,” Katie says. “It honours the birth of love, while I reflect the reimagined love after divorce.”

“This album is for anyone who’s gone through a life shift – not just separation, but grief, uncertainty or quiet reinvention. It’s music for sitting with things. For remembering we’re not alone, even in solitude. It’s personal, but I hope it resonates in a way that becomes collective.”

Katie says the album was created as an offering rather than an outpouring.

“Throughout my career, I’ve noticed that some of the most meaningful audience moments have come when people recognise that what I’ve put into a song is something they’ve lived but haven’t spoken aloud.

It feels like a deep breath before the next chapter. The creative intention is clear: to honour this moment, share it with care, and trust that others will feel themselves in it too.

Following an overwhelming response to her capital city theatre performances celebrating the new album, Katie is now heading home for the Sunshine Coast dates on her extended regional Australian tour.

“There’s nothing like a show close to home – with dear friends in the audience, and the chance to come home to my darling dog Sassy after the show!” Katie says.

Audiences can expect intimate performances filled with incredible songs and captivating stories – hallmarks of Katie’s celebrated live shows. Alongside songs from Alone but all one, Katie will draw from her remarkable catalogue, creating two very special nights of music close to home.

For Katie’s Pomona show, she’ll be supported by fellow Sunshine Coast local, seasoned performer and songwriter Alys Ffion. Alys blends folk-pop, acoustic and contemporary country influences with deeply personal storytelling.

At the Noosa show, Katie will be joined by Mark Wilkinson, who has spent more than a decade carving out a unique place in the indie folk scene with his evocative songwriting and captivating live performances. His warm acoustic sound and soulful vocals explore themes of love, loss and the beauty hidden in everyday moments.
