The much-anticipated Country Stars 2025 Showcase, held on May 30th and 31st, proved to be a resounding success despite challenging weather conditions. The event brought together 20 of Australia’s best country music contestants for an inspiring weekend of talent and celebration.
The semi-finals kicked off on Friday, May 30th, where our talented semi-finalists took the stage with an acoustic two-song set, captivating judges and audience members alike with their stage presence, crowd interaction, and exceptional song choices. Our esteemed panel of judges included Nellie Finley, singer-songwriter and businesswoman; Nyssa Ray, producer-songwriter performer; Shanliegh Rose, award-winning songwriter; and Jodes, front person for JJJ’s Queer Punk Band “Love Thrills”.
The grand finals on Saturday, May 31st, showcased our top 10 finalists, who delivered electrifying performances even in a waterlogged venue. They exhibited their incredible talents with the support of our Country All-Stars Band, featuring esteemed musicians Tyne Six-string (Touring Guitarist), Max Sportelli (Drummer), and Chris Shevelling.

The winners will embark on an exciting journey over the next 12 months, focusing on writing, recording, releasing, designing and promoting their singles with the amazing package they have won. Additionally, the Matt Perin Development Award winner will be mentored by music icon Ian Dicko Dickson and Country Music Veteran Col Finley, receiving opportunities to song write and potential touring opportunities with the Proud & True Touring Group
