About the event
Online TRE — Monthly 3rd Tuesday Event
The purpose of this event is to give people in the community access to regular nervous system regulation, with a focus on safety, accessibility, and embodied learning. These gatherings are an introduction to TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) and are held online on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
Each session will cover the fundamentals of TRE, with an emphasis on educating and empowering you to self-navigate your tremors, deepen your connection with your body, and begin to make TRE a reliable part of your self-care routine. This is also a chance to stay connected after other events I run around the country and to continue your somatic journey in community.
These sessions are offered at a small, accessible rate of $5, which helps support this space while keeping access open and affordable for everyone.
Everyone is welcome — no prior experience is needed. Come as you are, explore at your pace, and deepen your relationship with your nervous system in a safe, supportive virtual space.
What Is TRE?
T.R.E. (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a somatic-based, self-regulation tool designed to help your body naturally release stress, tension, and emotional holding. The practice involves a sequence of gentle, guided movements that activate a neurogenic response known as tremoring — the same natural shaking response your body might experience:
- before public speaking
- after a shock or intense stress
- or following vigorous physical activity
- In TRE, we safely and consciously invite this tremoring response, which helps the nervous system unwind, self-regulate, and
- return toward balance. You remain in control throughout and can adjust the experience to your comfort at every step.
This conscious self-regulation is not only deeply healing — it’s empowering. It supports you in building trust and connection with the innate wisdom of your own body.
What You Can Expect Online
In each session we’ll:
- gently move through TRE basics with clear guidance
- offer variations that support deeper somatic awareness and nervous system regulation
- help you explore your tremor experience with curiosity and care
- create a supportive virtual environment where presence and connection matter
Although we’re online, we will attend to:
- safety and thoughtful pacing
- cues and options for all experience levels
- opportunities to sense into your body’s responses and learn from them
- This isn’t about “doing it right” — it’s about learning to listen, feel, and regulate.
What You’ll Need (Online)
To participate comfortably, you’ll want:
- a quiet, safe space with room to lie down and move a little
- a mat, blanket, or cushion to support your body
- a device with a camera + audio so you can see and be seen
- space to tremor safely without obstacles
