The single ‘Downward’ starts with a hard-edged riff that sets the tone for what’s to come. The backdrop of a lush verse will draw you in, then have you pumping your fist and banging your head when the chorus kicks in.

Luke Karolak (guitar/vocals) said, “Downward is about dealing with loss, as well as the processes in connection with that, but also moving forward, and adopting a what’s done is done mentality, living in the present. The song is based very loosely on a period in our lives where we are at the proverbial ‘fork in the road’, not knowing where to look, or turn.”

The ‘Everything Eventually’ album picks up where their 2022 EP ‘Whispers’ left off, adding five new tracks to complete the record.  “This album deals with loss, heartbreak, redemption, and soul searching. It is not just eleven songs; it is eleven statements!”, says Karolak.

‘Everything Eventually’ was recorded at King Street Studios with producer Mick Bristow. The recording shows a step up in songwriting, performance and production values, with the band having honed their skills on the touring circuit.

Karolak says, Everything Eventually’ was a natural progression for us. Fans from the beginning will love it. The production is huge! The album itself is the sum of three very hard-working, passionate guys who love what we do, and this is testament to that. This album is a reflection of our journey and growth as a band.”

The three-piece alt-hard rock outfit is Luke Karolak on Guitar/Vocals, Brady Weber on Bass guitar, and Josh Brooks on Drums. The trio entwines soft soundscapes with a melodic and rock edge at its core, drawing influences from The Beatles, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Alice In Chains, Pixies, Cog, Tool, Silverchair, HUM, The Smashing Pumpkins and more.

Ruination draw on relatable themes of personal experiences entwined with daily observations on life, love and the eternal quest for something greater, allowing the listener to evaluate and interpret life’s nuances at their own pace and own draw their own conclusions.

The band has performed alongside Killing Heidi, Hammers, Pistonfist, Krave, Mezmik, and Lifepilot, among others. For fans of Metallica, Nirvana, Silverchair, Grinspoon, Deftones, Pixies and Helmet.

“A sonic journey from start to finish, ‘Everything Eventually’ combines meaty substance with refreshing energy that offers a fresh take on established genres, bringing them into the modern age of music.  With a sound driven by precision drumming, strong, purposeful bass and guitar riffs with enough moments of disparity to venture into more rugged territory, Ruination have delivered 11 songs of passion, honesty and integrity that far outweighs their relative youth in music.

More to the point, Ruination have drawn a metaphorical line in the sand, offering glimpses of their future while planting one foot firmly in their past. It is an album of intent and confidence that should prove to the band and their peers that Ruination have passed the point of promise and potential and entered a new phase of their existence. All neatly packaged in one slab of musical goodness.”
