History Is Set To Be Made!! Inaugural Maleny Music Muster & The Big Cheese Roll

The Sunshine Coast Hinterland is preparing to make history as the inaugural Maleny Music Muster arrives at the Maleny Showgrounds Pavilion on Saturday, 26 September 2026, bringing together outstanding Australian country, folk and Blues music for a celebration unlike anything the region has seen before.

Maleny Muster is the brainchild of Australian country music veteran Col Finley, and this is not his first festival, launching NSW “Big Country Campout” 3 years ago with good friends and festival Partners The Carroll Family at Riverwood Downs, and it has now become a part of the year’s music festival calendar.

The Maleny Music Muster has been built on the same simple vision: to create a boutique music festival that celebrates great Australian artists, supports regional communities, and gives music lovers an unforgettable experience in one of Queensland’s most picturesque destinations.

As the first event of its kind in Maleny’s history, the festival promises a full day of live entertainment, local flavours, community spirit and country hospitality. Designed as an intimate boutique festival, ticket numbers will be limited, allowing fans to experience performances up close while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere that has made Maleny one of Queensland’s favourite hinterland destinations.

Adding even more excitement to the day will be the debut of the

1st Annual Big Cheese Roll—a fun-filled event inspired by Maleny’s rich dairy heritage. Competitors and spectators alike will witness one of Australia’s most unique new traditions as participants roll the giant cheese wheel in what promises to become a signature event for the region.

The Maleny Music Muster is more than just another music festival. It is about bringing people together, showcasing Australian talent, supporting local businesses, and creating an event that families, friends and visitors can proudly call their own for generations to come.

Line Dancing For The New and The Experienced

Neon Boots will be hosting lessons for beginners and experienced line dancers, including some exciting tracks from our artists performing on the day

The official artist line-up has been announced and features an exciting mix of award-winning performers, emerging artists and local favourites, ensuring something for every music lover.

Festival founder Col Finley said the event has always been about community.
