The Big Cheese Roll meets the Maleny Music Muster
History is set to be made in Maleny as the Maleny Music Muster brings together live Australian country music, community spirit and the inaugural BIG CHEESE ROLL!
On Saturday, 26 September 2026, the Maleny Showgrounds will come alive for a huge celebration of music, local flavour and good old-fashioned fun — with one event guaranteed to get people talking: Maleny’s first Big Cheese Roll.
Competitors will take on the hill rolling for glory, bragging rights and, of course, the cheese, creating what organisers hope will become one of Maleny’s great annual traditions.
But the cheese is only part of the story.
The Maleny Music Muster will showcase an outstanding line-up of Australian country artists, alongside food, the Muster Bar, line dancing and entertainment for the whole community.
Event founder Col Finley says the vision is simple: create an event that celebrates everything that makes Maleny special.
“We wanted to build something that belongs to Maleny — great music, local people, local produce, plenty of laughs and something a little different. The Big Cheese Roll is going to be one of those moments people will be talking about long after the cheese stops rolling!”
The Muster will also proudly support its official charity, the Veteran Welfare Foundation, adding an important community cause to a day built around bringing people together.
The hill is ready. The music is ready. The cheese is ready.
