LIZZIE HOSKING Shares New Dark-Pop Single ‘unforgettable’

With her effortless integration of dreamy vocals, piercing synthesisers, and both drum machines and live kits, Lizzie Hosking has created a truly unforgettable new single. 

For the Adelaide-based singer/songwriter, ‘unforgettable’, out on Friday, July 10, follows her most recent release, ‘Satellite (Home’s Making Me Homesick)’, and sees Hosking return to her electro-pop, dance-fronted roots with evocative power. This new single, ‘unforgettable’, captures the spark of a fleeting connection between two strangers.

Hosking has spent the past years of her career receiving support from Triple J and Triple J Unearthed, alongside accruing national and international radio play. Following her time in London, where Hosking collaborated with international artists and honed her artistry, she has returned to Adelaide to further solidify her status as an established Australian voice. 

Most recently, Lizzie Hosking was selected for the Helpmann Academy’s Creative Innovator Program, where she is currently working alongside industry leaders to champion resilience, representation, and connection in her work.

With a charming, calculating allure and a prevailing sense of tension, ‘unforgettable’ paints the picture of a smoky nightclub. Dark-pop influences, pulsing production and an undercurrent of tension combine to create a track that is both immersive and infectious.  

Lizzie Hosking’s marriage of smooth vocals to the contrasting vocoder is reminiscent of 2000s classics, with the club darlings of the time rooted deep within the influences of ‘unforgettable’, aiding in the track’s quintessential pop effortlessness. 

Fuelled by a ruminating beat, shimmering electronic elements, and an all-encompassing bassline, ‘unforgettable’ captures the intrigue, anticipation and undeniable chemistry of a fleeting connection. Speaking on the track, Hosking states:
