LOCAL LADIES MAKING A BIG BID FOR CHARITY

Local Sunshine Coast ladies Silvana Mahony & Margaret Adame-West (aka “Team Silvana & Margie”), are taking part in a 45km “Walk for Change” Trek as part of a fundraising adventure for Women’s Legal Service Queensland (WLSQ).

We are trying to fundraise over $10,000 by 30 September 2026 and hope you can help with this vital mission in helping women who are often found helpless and even perhaps in a perilous situation.

WLSQ provides free legal and support services to women and children in Queensland who are impacted by domestic and family violence. With over 15,000 women helped each year and more than 44,000 services provided, the need for the service continues to grow. All support is appreciated and makes a difference. 

The Trek takes place in Freycinet, Tasmania 19-22 October 2026.

In the next few weeks and months we will be extending our fundraising efforts within our community via different measures including events, appearances, raffles & sponsorship requests.
