Soundtracking the start of a new day, MUKI (pronounced mʊk-ie) returns with his new single ‘Morning Music’, out Wednesday, April 29, alongside the announcement of his debut EP ‘Trampoline EP’, releasing Wednesday, June 3.
Having spent his life immersed in music and working as a full-time performer, this year MUKI has been bringing his passion and vision to life on this exciting new project. So far, with his previously released singles ‘Gasoline’ (Jan 2026) and ‘Reflections’ (March 2026), MUKI has showcased his delicate blend of indie-folk and pop, paired with raw emotion, as he weaves his reflective lyricism through polished, atmospheric production.
With his debut EP, MUKI brings together the lessons and experiences from his life in music so far, shaping a project that reflects both his personal growth and evolving sound. Speaking on the EP, he shares:
“Trampoline EP was written through the ups and downs of learning how to fall, pause, and rebuild – hence the name. Each song exists because I chose to heal, not hide.“
Picking his favourite song to lead this debut EP, ‘Morning Music’ is a track that represents everything that makes MUKI who he is musically, with every element reflecting the kind of music he grew up listening to and loves.
Opening with his signature chilled style, ‘Morning Music’ is ever-evolving, gradually unfolding into something new. Laid-back acoustic guitar, spacious arrangements, gorgeous backing vocals and building percussion carry the song through, while MUKI draws on his technical skill, using time signature changes, expressive guitar work and lyrical depth to shape a dynamic production. It all builds towards a cathartic, stadium rock-like outro built on screams and a wailing, overdriven guitar solo. Reflecting on the single, MUKI states,
“It’s called Morning Music because “Morning Music” is the music we face every single day when we wake up, and it’s something you can’t press pause on. It’s relentless, it’s unforgiving. This song is about accepting and finding peace in that music, finding the beauty in it.”
At its core, ‘Morning Music’ is about the desire for escape, running from your surroundings, craving a fresh start, and feeling as though nothing can fix the situation you’re in. Paired with its intimate arrangement and explosive outro, MUKI reveals the grand vision that shapes his debut EP.
‘Morning Music’ is out Wednesday, April 29, setting the tone for MUKI’s new EP, releasing Wednesday, June 3.
